🎙️ The Studio Playbook: Retakes, Revisions & AI

I want the audio to be the easiest, most frictionless part of your entire production. To keep things running smoothly and ensure we are always on the same page, here is how I handle edits, updates, and the fine print:

The "My Bad" Guarantee (Free Retakes) If I make a mistake—a missed word, a technical glitch, or a mispronunciation of a word you specifically provided a guide for—I will jump back in the booth and fix it immediately at absolutely no cost.

Dialing in the performance for self-recorded (undirected) sessions, I want to make sure we hit the exact vibe you need. I include three free rounds of performance retakes, so please gather all your team's directional notes and send them over in one batch! (Just a quick heads-up: if no pronunciation guide is provided beforehand, having to re-record for unguided preferences—like "ee-ther" vs. "eye-ther"—will be treated as a standard billable revision).

Script revisions (post-recording changes)

Writers change their minds and projects evolve—it happens all the time! If your script is updated after I've already recorded the audio, or if you need to change creative direction after our live session wraps, I just charge a standard pickup fee to fire the studio back up:

• Minor Pickups (1-5 words): £50 / $50

• Major Pickups (>5 words): £100 / $100 minimum

• Substantial Rewrites (20%+ of the script): Billed at the original project rate.

The vest way to request a pickup to help me flawlessly match the pacing and tone of the original read, please send over the revised script with the new lines highlighted. Including the sentence right before and right after the new line is a massive help. If you're syncing to picture, dropping in the video time code is even better!

Please submit all pickup requests within 30 days of receiving the original audio. Anything past the 30-day mark will just be quoted as a fresh project.

💳 Billing Details

For all new and international clients, invoices are simply settled upfront. Payment is required before I hand over the final, un-watermarked audio files. Once we’ve established a great working relationship, I'm more than happy to move to standard 30-day invoicing terms.

🤖 AI & Synthetic Voice Protection

When you hire me, you are getting an actual human being who genuinely cares about your project. To protect my livelihood and your brand's integrity, my policy on Artificial Intelligence is strict:

• No AI Training: You agree that my audio will not be used to train machine learning models, create synthetic voices, or generate "digital doubles" under any circumstances.

• Project Specific: The audio provided is strictly for the project we agreed upon.

• Data Security: You agree not to sell, transfer, or authorise the use of my voice data to any third party without my explicit, written consent, and to ensure the files are stored securely to prevent unauthorized scraping.
